I've worked for over two decades writing, editing and marketing in
the corporate, charity and consumer sectors

I started my working life in commercial property PR, spending many days on top of windy buildings in a hard hat.  I then decided to travel and spent four months in America.

When I returned I worked as a consultant for Ogilvy & Mather PR and then as consultant at Fishburn Hedges, one of the UK's top 10 PR and design agencies.

After several happy years there,  I realised that I needed a challenge and embarked on an Italian adventure, giving up my flat, job and car to live and work in Florence knowing no Italian and nobody out there.

After a year of living with a family looking after their young children, I became the marketing manager for The British Institute of Florence and also started to write articles for national consumer magazines and later had a regular slot on BBC's Mondo Italiano.

After several years in Italy I decided to return to the UK and became the PR manager for Random House Children's Books looking after the publicity department and authors including Raymond Briggs, Terry Pratchett and Philip Pullman.

I was then delighted to be asked to become the editor of Italy magazine and subsequently the Show Manager for La Dolce Vita, an Italian Consumer show held in London owned by Brand Events creators of Taste Festivals, Top Gear Live and Children in Need's CarFest

For the past thirteen years I've been lucky enough to work as a freelance writer on a variety of client projects.
